I'm with you. My husband asked me this morning to go buy MORE lights and pine roping for the house. We already have the tree up and wreaths all over the front of the house. HELLO???? I have too much to do. We're done with decorating.

you are too funny girl! I finally broke down and bought Macy one of those 3ft. pre-lit trees for her room that she totally got to decorate by herself and she was more than happy to let me do the "big" tree while she did hers. Hope your having a great week! I just followed you on twitter too! xoxo

My motivation comes in spurts this year. The inside is done, but outside isn't even started. I may just skip it this year.
As for a tip for the kids- make one tree kid friendly, and let them help decorate it. Keep the glass ornaments for the other tree and decorate that when they are not around.

Last year, we could only half-decorate the house because the two year olds were in full destructive mode. This year things are better and we have the trees in place with only a few curious child mishaps.

I think taking the little gang to Lowes and Home Depot to touch, poke, and pull on the display trees has lessened their ethusiasm for doing the same when we finally put our stuff up after Thanksgiving.

I know what you mean...I have nooo umph in me to put up the tree this year! Hopefully this weekend...but it's more like something I HAVE to do than what I WANT to do! Christmas is coming tooo quick! I need a few more paychecks! smile

That is just too funny, because when you were here this past weekend, I asked JBB if you all had up the other tree, the one in the sunroom. He said "Oh, yes." I was really shocked that you had accomplished such a task and asked again just to be sure with a qualifying "with decorations and stuff" and again he said "Oh, yes, it's up" So I guess at least one member of the family is satisfied with the tree as is.
