I Feel Like I Live in New Jersey and I Found out that Tomorrow Is Friday

Mr. Lipstick is from New Jersey and a few years ago we traveled to the homeland for a wedding. It was in January and it was freezing. Nevertheless I heard and saw some delightful things. First I have to tell that I just love, love a Northern accent. Everyone up there has one. It was great.

The other thing that absolutely amazed me was the snow. There wasn't a lot of it particularly, but it just didn't go away. I remember in the medians of the roads there were patches of snow, little bits here and there that just refused to melt. I remember thinking that was so odd. Down South Snow makes a very grand entrance and a very rapid exit. Like royalty. Or a rock star.

We got snow on Friday and guess what? We still have it! Oh, it's not everywhere, of course. The roads are fine and life is back to normal, but there are plenty of random patches of remnant snow that are clinging to existence, stubbornly remaining frozen through 43 degrees, hidden from sunlight, and seemingly impervious to tonight's rainfall. It is like New Jersey and it is wonderful. Mr. Lipstick just came in here and he still sounds a little bit Northern despite 12 years of being married to me. Ahhh....isn't life grand?

In other news this has been a busy week and in typical fashion it has been a bit hazy, with one day blending into the next. Today I was genuinely shocked to find out that tomorrow is Friday. Now that's just crazy. And for someone who has never, ever done anything crazy or disorganized, it is also a bit unsettling. Have a fabulous Friday everyone, because it really is here.

yes it is amazing that there still is snow around here and there a week later, I can't believe it!

I posted about how for the first time in my kid's lives they actually got to play in snow for more than one day!

oh and have you watched the weather they are predicting more for us here in a couple days not sure where you are but sounds close since we seem to have the same weather thing going on. This may end up being a record winter for us southerners:)

It has been a crazy week, that's for sure. I'm in NC and today was the first day this week that my son had a full day of school.

Oh, we know that snow, the kind that comes and then never goes away, yes indeedy! It has been such strange winter as far as weather goes, we have had little snow compared to many places that never get it!

Sending you a smile for the weekend,
tp

No snow here in the PNW- a bit of sunshine, actually! And don't feel bad, on Wednesday I thought for sure it was Tuesday! Enjoy the snow and stay safe!

Hey Sweetie,

We still have a nice patch of snow at our back door. Mama G. used to say, "It's waiting on another one." We do have another prediction for snow this week by the way.

Hey Sweetie,

Well, we got our snow. A big one. That little patch of snow was waiting on another one. It is beautiful. Wish you were here to enjoy. Daddy Lipstick is making Snow Cream right now.

Y'all, we just got two inches more! Bad news is that they say that rain will wash it away tomorrow. Boo hoo. :(
