I love his voice and his charisma. I really love that spiky, fuzzy hair of his. I think he is pretty and his bone structure is blissfully reminiscent of The Elvis. He is also very tall. And I love tall. Oh, and then there's the voice. Did I mention the voice? Thank you DVR, because I have to watch his performances two or four times...But now for my little rant-ette...every single week on Facebook there are a varied group of friends of friends who keep writing little blurbs about how Adam is just "so freaky" and "creepy" and "strange" and....if I devoted more than half a second I might remember more adjectives.
Of course, they are entitled to their opinions, blah, blah, blah. It made me grouchy-ish which is why I'm blogging about it. Mr. Lipstick says, "you know he's [stage whisper] gay, right?". Mr. Lipstick thinks the whole swoon-worthy/gay man dichotomy is pretty funny. Whatever. I had a crush on George Michael back in 1984.
I digress. Why do people consistently write...week after week after week...that they are so freaked out by Adam?

Love this post! Not to do our own rant Miss Lipstick, as you know how apolitical we try to remain online, but.... who cares what he is or isn't? He is extraordinary talented, that is what he *is* as far as we're concerned.
His hair frequently makes us crazy, but so what? (So glads we didn't rant. Hee-hee.)

I'm not a fan of Adam, and yes, I have been caught calling him "Creepy" too. I admire his talent; I really do, but his performances are SO OVER THE TOP. For me they come off contrived. I like him much better when I listen with my eyes closed!
i am a huge adam fan too. i wasnt into american idol much until my friend showed me a clip of him.. yum!! lol i hope he wins!
It's like the uber-jocks who always bullied the effeminite guys in high school. It's because there's some latent homosexuality there and they're trying to create a diversion by making fun of him.
I agree that Adam is talented, but I'm one of those people who write about him on FB. He's not annoying because he's gay, but because he's so cocky. And he finds a way to scream in every song. Ugh.
But the kid DOES have talent. And he'll probably win. I just can't like him though. Can't.

the creepy factor, i think comes in for those of us who have googled his name and had to see the creepy side...but i do like him. just not the internet pic of him with his tongue down some guys throat. other than that i really like him and he deserves to win.
Adam is unique...and uber talented...he will definately win this season.
As for last season...I just LUVEEED Syesha Mercado...she was my favorite!

I don't watch AI anymore, so I don't really know anything about this guy except for what I read on blogs and FB. I also LOVED George Michael back in the day, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I still love him, gay druggie that he is.
