The Itchy and Scratchy Show

I've written before about my fabulous hair stylist. He is just a dream come true with his spiky red hair, snarky sense of humor, and air kiss greetings. Oh yes, and then there is the matter of his amazing talent.

Well, the last time I was there I spotted this little treasure.

It is called a color tube key and it can be yours for the low low fantastic price of $1.79 at Sally Beauty Supply.

Stylists use it for, well, those fancy tubes of color. It piqued my interest though because JBB has eczema and it is nearly impossible to get all the medication out of the tube without making a mess. Since I am prone to making a mess in the most orderly of situations, this little color key is a life-saver. Here it is in action...

It is especially handy for those super-expensive tubes of Elidel!

And with no segue other than this sentence fragment....take a look at this. And because one picture of Paul Newman is never enough, here's another:Mommy and Daddy Lipstick saw "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" in the movie theater the day they got engaged. It was 1969. They are together today, having celebrated 37 years of marriage in June. I really, really want to be like that.

I LOVE me some Paul Newman! I just watched Cool Hand Luke with my husband the other night and loved it. I hate that pretty much all of the old Hollywood greats are gone now. It's hard to imagine a world without Paul Newman and Charlton Heston in it.

Paul Newman is/was dreamy and he got better with age. And, he loved and was faithful to his wife, which made him even better!

Dear Lipstick,
I found you through Scary Mommy, through Texas Momma. I did read that you are a pharmacist and still wanted to share a few other-than-RX tricks for clearing or at least helping excema. (I have had it since I was 2, and at 40 can attest to the damage the Rx creams do to young skin). First Coloidal Oatmeal. I use it as a paste on severe spots or face spots and as an add to a warm bath when I get all-over-bad. Next is eating freshly-ground-up flax seed, I put it in granola, on cereal, or any other way, even sometimes on a spoon washed down with milk. A teaspoon a day for a week can get me clear from the worst outbreaks. The oil did me absolutely NO good. Hope these help.
And thanks for the gratuitous Paul Newman pics, he was awesome.
