Is it stupid to take a power nap on the couch at 8:45 so I can be awake enough to blog something semi-interesting and still clean the kitchen and do some laundry? It feels way too early to go to bed.
As my mother would say, I am fighting sleep. I inherited this from my Daddy (who takes power naps at 11 pm) and I have been doing it all my life. I think I will put off changing my ways and go for the instant gratification of a quick snooze on the couch with some tv in the background. G'night...at least for, like, 20 minutes.

I am SO glad I'm not the only person on earth who does this!
I would NEVER fight sleep! I miss sleep!
Funny how we take after our parents on those little things!
I do that too, but then I don't go to sleep until 2 or 3. I can be really productive, but am exhausted in the morning!
Hope it's ok if I add you to my blogroll... :)
Oh yes, I'm guilty of this as well. I should probably go to bed at 8:30pm, the amount of times I still get up in the night with C, but I fight it and feel like poop in the morning. And I LOVE falling asleep in front of the tv - but sometimes I wake up HOURS later, make up everywhere, drooling.
Hi!
Thanks for your comment. After I re-read the post I guess I did sound like a walking tour guide. Lots of Memphis staples in there. Yall should come back and visit. It is such a great town!
I do the same thing! On weekends, I stay up as late as possible and then kick myself for sleeping in the next day!
I puffy-heart sleep too much to fight it. A few years back, I would refuse to get in bed before 9 because only children get in bed in the 8 o'clock hour.
Now? Both John and I close up shop and head to bed with the girls on Sunday nights. It's our routine.
Damn, we're lame.
USUALLY I love sleep much to much to fight it, but now that I'm home for much of the day, I have a serious case of insomnia. Case in point: It is 1:17AM, and I'm watching Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix instead of inside of my eyelids.
